For universities & higher education institutions
Quality data for your academic and practice-oriented research
Solid academic and practice-oriented research requires data you can rely on: a carefully composed sample, transparent fieldwork, and continuous attention to data quality.
With the Bpact Citizen Panel, you quickly reach the right respondents, even for specific or hard-to-reach profiles. We can organize the entire fieldwork process, supplement an existing sample, or support you with specific parts of the research process. In doing so, we combine methodological quality with speed, transparency, and personal guidance.
Several universities and colleges collaborate with the Bpact Citizen Panel. For example, we carry out fieldwork for, among others ESRI, David Farell (UCD), Stijn Baert (Ghent University) and Stefaan Walgrave (University of Antwerp).
Representativeness and inclusion: we give everyone a voice
Every sample is stratified based on your research question, target group, and the most recent population data. Alongside age, gender, education level and place of residence, project specific characteristics can also be considered, including county level detail where it matters.
We factor in the expected willingness to participate of different groups and can specifically oversample harder to reach profiles. Panel members are selected and invited specifically for a given study; there is no self-selection. During fieldwork, we adjust the sample in successive waves so it stays as closely aligned as possible with the agreed quotas.
Data quality is also monitored continuously, with checks for speeders, straightliners, inconsistent answers, missing data and unusual response patterns. Respondents who don’t meet the agreed quality criteria are replaced.
The result is a carefully built and controlled dataset for reliable scientific analysis.

Speed, transparency and full service support
Bpact can take the entire fieldwork off your hands, from recruitment and selection through to delivery of the dataset. Prefer a more tailored approach? That’s possible too. For example, you can programme your own questionnaire and only outsource recruitment to us, or the other way round. We fit around the parts you need.
Already reached some respondents yourself, but missing certain profiles? We can top up your sample with a targeted boost. We can also recruit specifically for hard-to-reach target groups. Where needed, fieldwork can be started at very short notice.
Throughout the project, you have visibility into the sample, methodology, progress and results. Our team is easy to reach and translates your research needs quickly into a practical approach. Collected data can also be linked to external databases or to your existing research data.

An organisation with a mission: giving everyone a voice
Bpact is an independent organisation with one clear mission: giving everyone a voice. Our Citizen Panel in Ireland already numbers over 20,000 members, alongside a network of local panels sharing their views on socially relevant topics.
Unlike general commercial panels, the Bpact Citizen Panel is used exclusively for research with a social purpose. We are continuously building a panel of people who take part in relevant research deliberately and with intent.
That’s why we look beyond classic representativeness. Through inclusive recruitment, accessible survey design and clear language, we make sure that people who take part in research less often are also heard.
We invest continuously in a broad and diverse inflow of panel members through partner organisations, local authorities, social media and offline recruitment. We also focus specifically on unheard voices: people and groups who are less visible in research and in public debate.
This helps researchers get a fuller picture of what’s happening in society, and to base their conclusions on data in which as many different voices as possible are represented.
